The Search For Truth Life on this planet has always been ever changing, sometimes slowly like the erosion of a great ledge so the change can only be seen from a long look to the past, other times an impact that appears so suddenly life is changed in an instant and even the most blind cannot help but notice. It is in this vein of understanding that my beliefs are cultivated. The seed is in the far distant past, in the time when my ancient sisters honored a great pantheon of Goddess as well as Gods. A time when they understood that the true meaning of life was unknowable yet in an ever present need to comprehend they looked to the great expanse of the sky and the deep caverns of the earth and using what information was available to them they made those conclusions that made the best sense in their minds and felt most true to their hearts. In this way the search for truths today is no different from then. I take the information available to me and after much study and pondering I am left to draw conclusions, conclusions that do not always remain the same from day to day or year to year. Beliefs, religious or otherwise are intended to and must evolve if they are to continue to be useful. All of nature teaches us that life is cyclical, that all things are born and all things die only to be reborn again. We know that the dying must occur in order for the new growth to take place. We know this because we see it in every turn of the wheel, in each season of springing up, blossoming, harvest and death, only to await the next season of spring for the cycle of life to begin again. In addition to merely reproducing it is also known that it is during this process that over time adaptations are made. Adaptations that are essential for living things to thrive as conditions change. The realm of ideas, beliefs and concepts are the same in that in order for them to grow and expand to include present circumstances we must be able to discern those things outdated-gone past their time-those things that hinder our growth and allow them to shift and change into beliefs that support changed circumstances.
