Ritual & Sabbat Altars Ritual and Sabbat altars are only different from other altars in that they are constructed to honor or celebrate a specific holiday or turn of the seasonal wheel. They may or may not involve spell work or the performance of a given ritual ceremony. As with all altars personalizing them is the best way to set them up, but they do tend to contain similar themes, symbols and colors from one witch to the next. Since many of the more modern religions incorporated the pagan traditions and symbols into their practices and celebrations many pagan symbols and ways of celebrating holidays look very similar to, what we raised in other faiths, are accustomed to. In addition to building altars I also like to sew. Many of my altars are accompanied by quilted wall hangings that I work up as I'm inspired to. If there are such hangings that accompany any of the altars you will find pictures of them in the links on the corresponding alter page. In Love and Light -Betsy-
